Time-delayed feedback control of coherence resonance near subcritical Hopf bifurcation: theory versus experiment

Using the model of a generalized Van der Pol oscillator in the regime of subcritical Hopf bifurcation we investigate the influence of time delay on noise-induced oscillations. It is shown that for appropriate choices of time delay either suppression or enhancement of coherence resonance can de achieved. Analytical calculations are combined with numerical simulations and experiments on an electronic circuit

A Tweezer for Chimeras in Small Networks

We propose a control scheme which can stabilize and fix the position of chimera states in small networks. Chimeras consist of coexisting domains of spatially coherent and incoherent dynamics in systems of nonlocally coupled identical oscillators. Chimera states are generally difficult to observe in small networks due to their short lifetime and erratic drifting of the spatial position of the incoherent domain. The control scheme, like a tweezer, might be useful in experiments, where usually only small networks can be realized

Region Foreign Economic Relations as a Factor of Reindustiralization

At present, the strengthening vector of the developing economies, in particular, of the countries of Eurasian Economic Union and BRICS, in the geographic structure of Russian foreign economic activity is observed. The subject matter of the article is to see, how the development of this direction can be economically favorable. For this purpose, the forms and degree of the development of economic partnership including collaboration with the Russian regions are investigated. The agreements on the economic partnership with the regions of partner countries of Russia, their production relations are considered. The analysis of foreign trade shows that in the case of the partner countries within Eurasian integration and the BRICS group — Russian economy gets the high possibility to become the supplier of products of relatively high degree of processing which is the key factor of development of its processing industry, i.e. the factor of reindustrialization and export-oriented import substitution.The article has been prepared within the project of fundamental research of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (20152017) No. 15-14-7-13 “Scenario approaches to realization of Ural vector of management and development of the Russian Arctic in terms of world instability”

Optimal design of the tweezer control for chimera states

Chimera states are complex spatio-temporal patterns, which consist of coexisting domains of spatially coherent and incoherent dynamics in systems of coupled oscillators. In small networks, chimera states usually exhibit short lifetimes and erratic drifting of the spatial position of the incoherent domain. A tweezer feedback control scheme can stabilize and fix the position of chimera states. We analyse the action of the tweezer control in small nonlocally coupled networks of Van der Pol and FitzHugh-Nagumo oscillators, and determine the ranges of optimal control parameters. We demonstrate that the tweezer control scheme allows for stabilization of chimera states with different shapes, and can be used as an instrument for controlling the coherent domains size, as well as the maximum average frequency difference of the oscillators

COVID-19 pandemic as a socio-psychological influence on transformations in religion

This article aims to establish COVID-19’s sociopsychological influence on religion. This interdisciplinary study’s theoretical framework embraces the socialecological systems framework, the concept of deprivation, the theory of religious myth-making, religious individualism and bricolage, as well as the concept of quality of life. A sociological survey was conducted of 4,700 residents of Moscow and the Moscow region. The results revealed that the social sphere of society was relatively stable duringthe pandemic. Exploring COVID-19’s socio-psychological influence, this study examines transformations in religion that resulted from tactile deprivation.&nbsp

Internet hypes in German language class

Der vorliegende Artikel informiert über den Gebrauch von verschiedenen Internet-Hypes beim Deutschunterricht. Medienpädagogik und Mediendidaktik werden besprochen, die Medienkompetenz wird beschrieben. Die Definition von Internet-Hypes wird erklärt, Beispiele werden angeführt. Wesentliche Aufmerksamkeit wird Memes (Bildern mit Überschriften) geschenkt. Nachdem bieten die Autorinnen Beispiele des mit Hypes unterstützten Unterrichts an. The present paper gives information about using of different Internet hypes in German language class. In this regard, media pedagogy and media didactics are discussed, the media competence is described. The definition of the Internet phenomena is explained, and examples are given. Great emphasis is placed on memes (pictures with inscriptions). Thereafter the authors give examples of lessons, which are supported with different hypes

SOCIAL NETWORKS OF THE INTERNET WITHIN THE THEORY OF AUTOPOIESIS BY NIKLAS LUHMANN

The social networks existing for centuries as social communities in family and companionship, achieved new opportunities of self-updating and public expression with the emergence of the Internet and formation social networks in it. To reveal features of each of these phenomena authors give two definitions of social network. One of them characterizes the social network as a special social community, another emphasizes specifics of social networks of the Internet. By consideration of network interaction in the Internet as a social system authors are guided by the concept of an autopoiesis of N. Luman. Within the social networks of the Internet, according to authors, there is an autopoesis, spontaneous and self-making system which depends on information transfer in the course of interaction between members of network.
